About Mrs. Ottinger
This is my 14th year in West Chester Area School District as a gifted resource teacher. Prior to WCASD, I taught middle school math and science in Upper Darby. Before I decided to teach, I worked as an environmental engineer, assessing environmentally hazardous sites and designing clean-up solutions. My undergraduate degree is in environmental engineering from Northwestern University, and my M. Ed. is from West Chester University. I have also studied gifted education at University of Connecticut, along with a few other universities with courses that interested me. I'm a lifelong learner and hope to inspire and challenge my students to follow their passions and keep learning!
When I'm not teaching, I'm reading, gardening, and training for triathlons. That is unless my husband, dogs, cat, chickens or goats need me!
